Editorial Workflow

Every modification in the master branch of the content repository is displayed on this public Punch Results page. To avoid anything being posted online by mistake, there is an editorial workflow which works as follows.

Changes to the content should me made in the edit branch which has its own preview page that can be used to check and review content.

If review was successful and the content is ready to be pushed into the public, the 'edit' branch needs to be merged into 'master'.

Basically, there are two different groups of people with different access rights to the branches of the content repository. The group of editors who can change the "edit" branch is larger than the group of reviewers who can also add content to the 'master' branch. An editor must contact a reviewer to put content online publicly.
